How to use a flash for macro photography

When you are engaged in macro photography, usage of flash is a really important aspect. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to use a ring flash to do macro photography. Instead, you may consider the following trick.

You can simply set the zoom head of the flash to the maximum possible length. Then, you have to set the lens to the macro focusing range before start shooting. If you use a TTL flash, this process is pretty simple when combined with radio triggers. However, if you configure the settings manually, you will be able to gain more control.

Even if you use an older camera lens, this method will help you achieve really pleasing results.
